tonight I see that BBI kiosk replaced redbox at publix supermarket the largest supermarket chain in south florida. Will they do this to all publix outlets? And why? And the BBI kiosk looked nicer and classier with a larger screen although I couldnt wait around to check out the selection. Are we in trouble? Did BBI come up with something better? And their movies are just a buck as well. Im selling half my CSTR shares tommorrow and buying BBI just in case. Is there room for both of em and then figure netflix will get in on the act too at some point. aLSO......we all dont know squat, but someone does. CSTR shares not rallying with this market. Below the 8 and probably the 20 by now. Who is selling?
you are sick! I am pumping??? I use one name, no aliases. I am old enough to be your father. Im here to sink my teeth into this problem. We 'do" have a problem yuh know. Notice we arent moving up anymore?
There is nothing wrong with BBI joining the party because it simply puts more focus on the short term strength of the low priced kiosk DVD rental business led by Redbox.
One issue with BBI vs. Redbox is that BBI must combat existing franchise agreements/areas, therefore reducing the opportunity of profits significantly as opposed to Redbox's solely owned kiosks. Maybe I am missing something, but Redbox has the market cornered with there existing agreements with Walgreens, McD's, etc.
Redbox is also growing like a weed. The next 12 months of earnings will further cement the consumers transition from "brick and mortar" rental to kiosk, mail delivery, and downloading.
