Utilities bill paid with U.S. Bank Photo Bill Pay!
At 2:30 PM CST I paid my utilities bill with photo bill pay via U.S. Bank. I merely went to the mobile app already downloaded for my mobile photo deposits, hit "Pay," then "Add a Biller"....up pops the camera
mode. At first I took a pic of the part of the bill which says you should cut it off and submit it with payment...
Duh!....but then took a pic of the top part of the bill...which worked. I filled in which account, the amount, etc.
and submitted it. Now, it is a holiday so receipt of payment may be delayed....don't know. Will apprise when
I receive notification of receipt of the funds.
Paid utilities bill on Friday....just today I looked on the computer on my "Internet Bill Pay" page and found the
entry and the notation "processing." I now, in my simple way, seeing that all the bills will go through the Internet Bill Pay process, albeit with a different vehicle: smartphone transfer. So, I consider this first try to
be a success, assuming all the data was captured from the top of the bill. It will be interesting to try a bill whose payee was not already on my Internet Bill Pay list, but since Mitek always does what it says it is going
to do, I'd bet on complete success.
So, you already had this payee set up before using MPBP?
Does it seem to have less steps to pay using smartphone or is it the same as logging into account and entering info there since it's already set up? You say you hit "Add a Biller." Does it seem like if you did it in the future, the app would know that the biller had already been added and just go to entering amount to be paid?
