    Dais Invited by the US Commerce Department to Participate on Trade Missions

    ODESSA, Fla., Oct. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dais Analytic Corporation (OTC.BB: DLYT) announced today CEO Tim Tangredi, will be participating on its behalf in trade missions to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) and Brazil.

    As announced by the Commerce Department, Mr. Tangredi will accompany Francisco Sanchez, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, to Qatar and the U.A.E. on October 30 through November 3 to promote energy infrastructure development in the region. Dais is one of 14 U.S.-based companies selected to join the mission.

    "This region is growing rapidly and has large amounts of money to spend on infrastructure, transportation, energy, and telecommunications," Sanchez said. "This mission will enable U.S. companies to compete for opportunities to sell their products and services in Qatar and the U.A.E., helping their companies grow and create jobs here at home."

    As stated by the Commerce Department's public announcement, the trade mission advances President Obama's National Export Initiative which aims to double U.S. exports by the end of 2014, supporting economic and job growth. The business delegation will have an opportunity to promote multimodal transportation systems, products, and technologies; energy products and services; smart grid technologies; and mass transportation systems with foreign businesses, buyers, and governments.

    Participants will visit three of the region's key metropolitan centers Doha, Qatar; Abu Dhabi and Dubai, U.A.E. The mission will provide U.S. participants with first-hand market information and access to government decision makers. U.S. companies will be introduced to distributors, public and private buying agents and other potential business partners.

    The United States is the largest exporter of goods and services to Qatar, and the U.A.E. was the United States' largest export market in the Middle East and North Africa in 2010. In 2010, U.S. exports to Qatar topped $3.1 billion, and exports to U.A.E. totaled more than $11.6 billion. For additional information, please visit

    In addition to the Middle East mission, Mr. Tangredi will join Florida Governor Rick Scott in the upcoming Team Florida Mission and Business Expo in Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 23 through October 27. The goal of the mission is to provide Florida companies with an opportunity to enter or expand their market share in Brazil as part of Enterprise Florida's strategy to market Florida exports worldwide. Enterprise Florida is the state's lead economic development organization.

    Brazil is Florida's number-one trading partner with exports from Florida surpassing $13.7 billion in 2010. Enterprise Florida estimates that the Brazilian economy is expected to be one of the fastest growing in the world in the next decade.
