I have questions (probably naive) about the future of write-offs against operating profits.
1) A major write-off came because of a mark-to-market of securities owned. Theoretically, if they were truly "marked to market", unless the market changes, it shouldn't occurr again, or at least in muted amounts.
2) The other write-off was for "discuntinued operations". If these are truly dicontinued, then have all the write-offs been taken, or will they continued to dribble out for a long time?
In short - what do future quarters look like in terms of these write-offs.
