I think that we will be up for a few days :)
$5.13 - $5.35 area
but euro goes down and brings NOK below $5 again
my take we are near low in a trading range
Nokia added that its board proposes that the Annual General Meeting authorize the Board to resolve to repurchase a maximum of 360 million Nokia shares by using funds in the unrestricted shareholders' equity. Repurchases will reduce funds available for distribution of profits.
Actually if they were to get lean and mean...continue with the Lumia phone line and the dual sim phones, but cut costs such that the Apple royalty by itself would pay the dividend and anything else was gravy...I definately could see the value of repurchasing 10% of the stock at $5. That would reduce the future dividend requirement without having to cut the divy more.
Don't count on that share repurchase. that was just a continuation of an expiring authorization. NOK will not use up cash for that right now. Too much else at stake, In fact if they start doing that I am selling.
please read Q1 report !
10% buy back and .20 euro dididend is proposed for the board ( in that report! )
I still think we will see it GREEN today
my guess is $5.14 on high
just looking at tjis month stock distribution and today is a last day of the month :)
well, I also think stck worth about $6.50
and it is possible to see NOK back to $12 and higher as soon as sale of the new phones brings $$ earnings
=5%= dividend is fine with me ! I can wait
+ Nokia will buy 10% shares back - could impact share price sooner than we think
Stock has breached 50 day MA, MACD is in a downward trend and RSI is only at 42.47(could go lower). Possible we move down to retest low of $4.5 and create a double bottom...so don't panic if this happens. JMO
I use candle chart for my stock speculation. The candle chart will show a sell signal if we close at the LOD, and will indicate hold if we close above that.
On the option front, the primitive system that I use indicates $6-$4 straddle is something worth considering at this point. Except for the commission, they are almost free and are totally detached from the potential volatility.
