it was better than what they had. this at least gave them some chance. I think though that people are missing what is nok's biggest problem. It's the shift to smartphones. So it's not just about trying to get people to migrate to windows now it's all the business they're going to lose because of the shift itself with many of those people going to either apple or android. Windows will survive by having multiple carriers but they'll be a small player. Nok on the other hand...won't. because they can't turn around in time from both these challenges... IMO..what they will do is file BK and restructure to the extent that they come out a very small player. They'll be around but not with current shareholders unfortunately. Like i said..i was long at one point and certainly don't wish for any companies demise but i call it like i see it as well. and its not good for them. If i was long..i'd take this run up...get out...and either get short or stay out.
They cannot file bankruptcy with 12 billion in cash and two other profitable units under them. You need to look at the financial statements and stop making assumptions. I never mention the patent value, because they will never sell the real patents, but if faced with a $1, stock, they will. You bankruptcy theory is possible, just not for another 5 years.
