Thanks....What a fluke for me to be a close guess of 7 million on smartphones for the Q4. Averaging for the year 2013 Q1, I guess it is safe to guess over 10 million for the smartphone devices with Lumia line beating record to an easy approx. 8 million without any supply problem...Italy sold out again in just 2 hours across the board last week report on nokiapweruser...Lumia is really looking good.
For me $12 is the max comfort zone holding onto my shares WITH current WP8 generation, and Lumia line (920, 820, 620 etc). If WP9 is delayed beyond summer, and Catwalk/Atlantis (next gen Lumias) are ho-hums, I will seriously have to sell shares.
H'ever any takeover bid below mid-$20's - I will not be happy with. We may not see the future clearly beyond current gen OS and hardware, but potential to become a solid 3rd platform, and reaching beyond teens in marketshare soon enough. A low M&A price (like low $10's) would discount that potential, and decimate chances for the long-term gain.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I will take my 10% gains in the form of dividends every year for the rest of my life. I will probably reinvest half back into the stock regardless of price.
At this point, the price doesn't matter to me, and each year my cost basis will drop further.
My kids will think that I am a genius when I turn it over to them, and I will die happy knowing that once in a while I can be counted on to do the right thing. (Thank GOD)
I have no price point in mind. It all depends on the situation and where I think the pps is going at the time. $7 might be a good time to bail or maybe $20. It's impossible to tell right now. Things are changing too fast and a lot can change.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I disagree. If you are in the stock market you MUST take profits or you don't understand why you are investing in the first place. I want NOK to do very well so I can sell it, right? I like where NOK is, weakening APPL, great product, great timing, but I want to sell it! I am not looking to sell it now, but maybe in a year, 2 or 3, we will have to see how things go. But I want my money!
I don't care if Jesus is CEO, pay me - I want my tribute! I got plans to travel extensively and retire in 5 years, I'm not playing. Is that unreasonable? What's the point in investing if you are not making money on it? I love my 401k, but that is for later, as it should be.
