This is why nokia cut Dividends, which is a smart move for the big come back...

The struggling Finnish cellphone maker announced Tuesday that it plans to invest $250 million in its venture-capital division, with the intention of funding mobile communication companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia in order to access new technologies that can improve its phones. In particular, Nokia Growth Partners, as the division is known, will use the capital to focus on China, the world’s largest smartphone market by volume.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Get real, that halting of a 142 year uninterrupted dividend history IS A BIG DEAL, that the equivalent of your brain being deprived of oxygen for 4 mintues, then you are brought back to life comatose.

    • I wish it also used some of the money to resolve supply issue. This idiot can't understand how not resolving this important issue will be more damaging to nok in the future, cause it will be conjectured as unreliable partner by the likes of china mobile. If there is one thing smasung does better, it knows how to deliver and not this stupid b??s that nok likes to say for two years now. How pathetic that a co's management can't resolve this issue in over two years???? Frustrating mnagement. I feel for the brilliant engineers at nok.
