Microsoft Reportedly Pays Nokia 1 billion per year, ad revenue sharing & "UNLIMITED FUNDS FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY". They are not going to let anything happen to their money cow. Wall street works this way. I have 10, 15, 20 stocks doing this. Not one single one goes up every single day. I am stunned by this board and how it expects a green increase or the company is going bankrupt. That feeds the shorts. The only thing I am worried about are companies that I do not like buying out Nokia in a hostile takeover. From what I read here most people like those companies anyway, I do not. So some may be happy. Microsoft is not letting Windows 8 go anywhere. It is not happening. This happens every single day on Wall street. That is how it works. There is no end of the world scenario. QQQ is good for me when I do not want to worry. That is not advice. I do not know what is good for you and do not buy or sell on anything I say. I hold nok, msft & qqq mentioned. Long on all not short. It is also not odd for wall street to buy, sell, buy etc. There are stocks that fall into trading ranges that people become aware of and that is all they do. The one thing that kills all wall street strategies long or short is unexpected news. It is what you know that you do not know that can kill you. I am heading into DC right now. I want to check something on that I saw in premarket this morning.

Notice on #4 is says substantial payments in regards to intellectual property.
3. In recognition of the unique nature of Nokia's agreement with Microsoft and the contributions that Nokia is providing, Nokia will receive payments measured in the billions of dollars.
4. An agreement that recognizes the value of intellectual property and puts in place mechanisms for exchanging rights to intellectual property. Nokia will receive substantial payments under the agreement.
MSFT aren't "giving" NOK a billion Dollars a year, it's more like a loan. It's been reported recently that this help from MSFT to NOK is limited and NOK must eventually return the money to MSFT if/when NOK reach a specified level of operating profitability.
If you think MSFT are gifting this help without terms of a return, then you are misinformed.
