I think I'm going to just get an 822 tomorrow...its
free....in 18 months I'll upgrade to the best Nokia that Verizon is offering.... that one should kick ash....besides I like the expandable memory chip.........that said I think I want a red one, ....we'll see what they have
Hey weallneedastock :-) I know could have waited, but I figured that 822 is more than sufficient for my needs and assuming that initially anyway a 922 will be $100 or more as opposed to free....spent all my funds on NOK .......besides I do get 14 days to return.........hope your foot is feeling better.
I cannot tell you what to do, you might want to wait on the 822 a little bit if you can in my opinion. 822's are fantastic. You might want to be fantastic + + if you have a little time. It will not do any good to ask the mgr at the store. When the 822 came out they did not know about it until 3 - 5 days before it was released. I went there and new it was coming and tried to place a pre-order and they told me it was not coming. I went back the next week and they went to a 1 day training conference (guy told me it was just like a party and the played around with the phones). He said he loved it and everyone else did. He also said it is not like Windows 7 phones, this one is nice. I think the most time you will have to wait is about 18 days/less on the announcement. Depends how many days in this month, I cannot remember.
OK went to the local Verizon store where they were sold out..... the rep, (had one herself) said they sold like hotcakes DEC and JAN and but now they were having some difficulty getting stock and thought they were being phased out.....I'll keep looking.
Also I bought one on Amazon and they would not activate it. The customer service said it should work if is unlocked. I spent two days and gave up. Verizon's support is a little rough and I think they incorporated something in their system that makes esn's that are unlocked not work. I am not sure, just personal try.
I bought a white 822 on Ebay for $240 about 3 months ago and love it. I kept my unlimited data package by not renewing my contract. Thats what I'll do when Verizon gets the 928. I'll just pay cash once the price falls. Check out Ebay Nokia 822, price have fallen to about $200-$250.
