no Apple did not open a store in China.. Nokia closed this store because mobile phone companies are selling Nokia phones. so what is the point in keeping the store open when nokia has people selling their phones for them. sounds like good business to me. save money higher profits
The plan looks like let the phones speak for themselves. They're not spending anything on advertising, or on fancy stores or on owning their own building. But they are spending a lot of money and resources, very carefully targeted, on making the best phones in the world at various prices.
It's big, it's brave, it's beautiful and it'd better work!
on the surface all that sounds great.. but the fact is the most important thing in the world of business is marketing marketing marketing. can you imagine how many phones Nokia would sell if the phone was on the Oprah Winfrey Show. or the Home Shopping Network. if Tom Brady is seen on television using a Nokia phone everyone in New England is buying a Nokia phone. everyone knows Nokia phones are great and well made. but people like to see it on television or with a big TV celebrity.
