Like they even have 250 thousand manufactured. To sell 2 million they have to have 2 million phones.
Stop dreaming/speculating on any blow out sales till they are able to fix their supply chain.
Till then - a little walk sideways, then downwards, then upwards and sideways again - waiting to see when they fire someone in supply chain and bring in someone who knows how to execute.
When Verizon announces they have SOLD 2M 928s, that will be worth a post.
As my father would tell me - "Don't tell me how busy you are - first, show me what you've accomplished". That cut down on a lot of conversation and explanation....
Ya my ol man had a few also.
told me to climb up that ladder,
get to the top and jump, he would catch me.
I said no way you can't catch me.
he,said don't worry, trust me...
so I did jump and he got out of the way,
and I said wat the????
that's your first lesson,
don't trust anybody..... :-)
BestBuy does NOT currently carry the Lumia 928. At least they didn't as of yesterday afternoon. What they DO have is a big dedicated Samsung section. Phones, tablets, laptops. Samsung even makes cameras now.
Interesting question. I would think no, as part of the idea of Nokia giving Verizon, ATT, others and "exclusive" on a phone, but it depends on the terms of the "exclusive" deal.
Frankly, I understand why telecoms like to say they have an "exclusive", since the never advertise for Nokia, I have trouble understanding when, where, and to whom they're saying "We have an exclusive on this phone". I never say an ATT advertisement touting the "exclusive" 920 - I never saw ANY ad from anyone directing to the "exclusive" ATT phone, the Nokia 920.
ATT got an "exclusive", and no one ever heard about it. I don't understand why Nokia jumps through hoops to give "exclusives", and no one derives any benefit from it - not the telecoms, not Nokia.
So - will the 928 go on sale outside of Verizon? If they have a true "exclusive", no, but since the "exclusive" moniker makes no sense or appears to be in any way an advantage to anyone, why shouldn't Nokia sell the 928 anyplace it can? Best Buy, on-line stores/marketers, Radio Shack, wherever.
I don't understand the rhyme and reason behine Nokia marketing, and lack thereof.
