I keep saying to myself - Nobody is that stupid.
But if you ever noticed, when you say - nobody is that stupid - what you mean is-
Oh, lookey, lookey, another stupid guy.
The problem with stupid people is - THEY ARE STUPID!
I said this last year when I bought the stock, an RT tablet will be guaranteed a reason to sell my whole NOK stake without furhher questions or regrets, even though I am ahead nicely now, I will still get rid of Nokia, just cause like you said: STUPIDITY,
Even Nokia would not be releasing a Windows RT tablet, Nokia may not have a tablet at the moment but no way would Nokia produce something that Microsoft took a 900M hit on. Microsoft rushed something was not ready for primetime and took a hit on it, course when they dropped the price, it did move pretty quickly.
Ballmer is an idiot for using two cpu architectures and essentially the same name for those tablets, the consumers were confused and once technical people knew which one to buy everybody bypassed the RT to wait for the Pro, unless they really drank the cool-aid from Ballmers fountain.
The 900 million hit comes back as a surprise next qtr though doesn't it now that they are selling out. Every Staples within 50 miles of me sold out. There logistics is not like Walmart. Walmart sold out but they always can get more and ship in 1 day to you or store. So if all these tablets are flying off the shelf it shows up next qtr. The 900 million hit may be a positive for MSFT stockholders next qtr. when more Surfaces will sell than they ever imagined. It only took a drop of $350.00 and a free keyboard cover. I heard they originally planned to go lower on the price. People rushed in too quick. It was a lot of younger people in line trying to get one.
