Hello just checking in to see if y'all still on this party boat..........I got super lucky, took some of the money from here and bought BRD and in one week it got bought out at a 30% premium, the way I read the deal by January the stock should almost double from today's close......... do your own research
baeee beaaa I have become part of the herd, well not really I covered my short position today, made some money and that's that, I will sit on cash for some time to be on the safe side and watch how the cookie crumbles, good luck to all longs and shorts. PS I spent too much time on here where as I should have been working, but it was fun
---------------------------THIS THREAD IS CLOSED for now------------------------ :)
You are right. It could crumple either way.
I am already facing plenty of taxes so I will sit tight.
With tax sales completed we either have a mild correction or a wild Christmas rally.
Based on friday's close NOK is worth a lot more than you thought.
Try thinking OUTSIDE the BOX. And you won't be BOXED OUT.
It's christmas season now. You can get a nice cheap bow FOR YOUR BOX!
You are absolutely correct and I may be regrettably wrong as I have been before. Some thoughtful members on this board pooled together and already sent me a big bow for my box, thanks. I will keep it a while longer to make sure my box is filled with profits before using it. Anyway I don't have much to lose just playing with some of the profits but others on this board may be dreaming and end up with nothing.
It is amazing how tough it is to be boxed out and no wonder 99% prefer to be sheep.
Another expense no one thinks about is the I.R.S. will want their cut in this deal too, why do you think DOJ was so quick to bless the deal............NOK should have kept selling their Lumias and made more over time.
What makes you think the devices sale to Msft will be a taxable event for Nok, even if it can be shown the funds received exceed the value of the assets transferred?. And if the money received for the patent licensing is income, is it subject to taxation by the IRS?
There have been times I lost on long positions when others kept posting the stock would go down, I decided they were wrong and I was right and ended up losing money. Different folks different strokes. No need to get so nasty with your opinion and your money around here.
Lets say you only have $10,000 and you are all in long Ford then you look for a stock lets say Nokia you think has made its run and its time according to what you believe to pull back so you short it with money you don't have lets say $10,000. Now with your $10,000 you control $20,000. Then you play with options and the $20,000 becomes $100,000. Pretty cool if you have the balls. I don't like it myself but it is what it is, lets rock.
More facts. NOK cash to be spent to build up infrastructure for contracts they have signed. Recent obligations to Ukraine, Turkmenistan, China Mobile, Korean Telecom (funny), SK Telecom, Tele2 AB, Celcom, Oi Brazil, Sprint, E-Plus Group, etc, plus disputes with Chinese workers, India Tax Authority, Sierra Wireless, etc, plus GS and others dumped NOK shares after the MSFT announcement. Check out the source of this information on MSN Finance who by the way rates NOK at 2 out of 10 with 10 being the best.
Other facts: JP Morgan and others upgraded NOK.
What to believe hard facts or greedy Bankstas with different motives.
If NOK sits behind a desk and just has to push a button to make it all happen then shred this post.
