I have added some shares here recently.
It seems pretty obvious to just about anybody that this is a good buy, but nobody wants to pay too much. I think Skechers is a good buy at these prices even if the toning shoes ceased entirely.
If it's any interest... I talked to the salesperson in the Springfield, MO JC Penney shoe department, and she said that the Shape Ups have been selling very well. "
We've had trouble keeping them in stock" Is how she put it, but you know how some people always say "that was the best, biggest, greatest"
She said that a lot of doctors and nurses and otheres that spend a lot of time on their feet were buying different pairs to match outfits etc.
Can't blame you Portland, its better to sleep well at nights. Personally, I am holding out for higher from here to earnings call. If no preannoucements and a little luck, I think we could get to between 23-25 prior to Q4 earnings, but many many crosswinds so tough to call.
In terms of Shape Ups and Zappos, many have definetely taken another price reduction of about $10.00 each to the $50 - $55 level. Looks like this step down of prices has no end in sight (at least not at Zappos).
Nice trade and nothing wrong with a little profit while you wait to see what will happen.
I usually try to not mention other stocks to much unless they fit into make my point, but I can not remember if it was you that ask me about XRTX one time when we were all discussing short interest here. I bailed there if it was, did not like the next two Qs. It may have been someone else, but while it was quite I wanted to throw it there.
Been sitting here watching Steelers and have not even checked an online site, thanks for the update.
Transparency post: I started to get cold feet on my aggressive purchase this week, so I sold 70% of what I bought for a nice little trading gain.
I still think the 4th quarter report will be a disaster. I now think the issue is only how investors will view that report. Will investors look past the deteriorating fundamentals to the ray of sunshine in the future, or will they punish the stock? Don't know, but I doubt I will have a very big position, bull or bear, going into earnings.
PS: Latest Zappos search turned up a number of pairs at $50 and under, which I think are lower than we've seen for the most part.
