    Obama, And "Trickle Down" Economics

Over the past 30 years, the term "Trickle Down" economics was coined by American socialists to slam the power of Capitalism to build businesses and create jobs.

The term insinuated that corporations and business owners were so greedy and profit-hungry that they shared little of their revenues with living wages for their employees and were very selective with their investments... to the detriment of economic growth.

Of course, the "trickle down" mantra was a complete failure. By today's standard, we would give ANYTHING to achieve the growth and employment levels of 20 years ago... and the ability of American capitalism to Deliver that growth. But still, the american socialist movement was able to use the trickle-down term to win elections and convince people that capitalism wouldn't work... in spite of the fact that capitalism CREATED our country's wealth 100 years ago when taxes were low and America was becoming the world's premier economic power.

Today, Obama slams capitalism and wealth EVERY DAY from behind the microphone and spends far more on social programs and government spending than at anytime in history. Still, despite record fiscal stimulus ($1.2 trillion deficits) and record monetary stimulus (0% short term rates and QE-infinity), our economy is barely growing at 1.3% GDP and un-employment is permanently stuck above 8% with record numbers of americans dropping OUT of the workforce.

We are clearly experiencing "trickle down" economics TODAY... because nobody is INVESTING anything. In fact, they're LEAVING the U.S. like Apple's Wozniak and facebook's Saverin... $Billionaires both.

We have "trickle down" because Obama has everybody AFRAID to invest. It really is a term that defines the hard left... NOT the right, as it's socialist inventors originally planned on.

It's been 6 years since the democrat left seized control of congress and declared everything Bush sent them "dead on arrival"...

... what will 4 more years of Obama's "trickle-down" economics give us???? GREECE, that's what!

    • I'm not rich but have made a fair amount by buying shares of the company I worked for. I also put money in three start up companies. Lost it all in two but made a very good return since 1963 'til last year on the third. I sold it for 540 dollars a share and bought it for 10 dollars. Earned dividends some years too. I originally had 250 shares but had sold 60 shares for varying prices through the years. Too many of my fellow workers spent all their money on foolishness and retired with barely enough to get by. I have been able to help all three of my kids buy homes and helped them in other ways too. Capitalism is great. Most lefties of whatever stripe are basically thieves that use force of government to bribe idiots to vote for them while they live high on the hog in government or government subsidized rackets.

    • "The term insinuated that corporations and business owners were so greedy and profit-hungry that they shared little of their revenues with living wages for their employees and were very selective with their investments... to the detriment of economic growth."

CEO's now make 400x what they did 30 years ago - while the middle class is being decimated.
Romney's trickle down is to employ people to mow his lawns, wax one of his wife's 6 Caddies.

his work at Bain is a perfect example of how warped trickle down can be and he finds every loophole he can to shelter his gains in the Cayman Islands and tax deferred IRA accounts.

In 2008, President Barack Obama won the independent vote over John McCain by a margin of eight points, 52-44. This morning, a new Battleground Poll has Mitt Romney massacring Obama among indies by a whopping 16 points, 51-35.

That's a 24-point swing among independents since 2008, a group that makes up anywhere from a quarter to a third of voters, and yet Battleground still has Obama in the lead 49-48…?

But if I'm skeptical of those bottom-line numbers, our journalist overlords who have chosen to palace guard instead of question will declare me a "truther."

The Battleground Poll also shows an 13 point enthusiasm gap in Romney's favor. Only 73% of Obama's supporters are "extremely likely" to vote, compared to 86% of Romney's supporters.

But again, don't question Battleground's 49-48% outcome. In fact, don't question anything anymore -- or the media will question you and mock you as a "truther. " This includes questioning our government about the release of counter-intuitive unemployment statistics very helpful to the president just 30 days out from the election.

Though the media hasn't yet decided it's time for a Romney Comeback Narrative, and probably never will, even if he wins -- there's no question Romney is rebounding in every national and swing state poll.

Nationally, Gallup has it all tied up among registered voters -- with the president dangerously below 50 at 47%. Rasmussen uses the more reliable likely voter screen and has Romney up 49-47%.

In the Real Clear Politics poll of polls, nationally Romney is only down .09%. A week ago he was down over 4 points.

In Ohio, according to RCP's poll of polls, Obama's Ohio lead has shrunk to three -- Virginia has Obama only up by 0.3. Florida and Colorado are tied.

The good news for Romney is that we are now seeing polls from each of these states with the GOP nominee in the lead. The bad news for Obama is that in most of these swing state polls, he is not hitting 50.

Well, actually the worst news for Obama is 85% of the calls made for this new Battleground Poll were made prior to Obama humiliating himself in last week's debate.

At a celebrity fundraiser last night in Los Angeles, President Obama acknowledged his mistakes on the campaign trail and asked donors for their continued support.

The event began with a concert at the Nokia Theater for about 6,000 donors, headlined by Jon Bon Jovi, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry and Jennifer Hudson.

“Everybody here are just incredible professionals. They’re such great friends, and they just perform flawlessly night after night,” Obama said, thanking the musicians for their performance.

“I can’t always say the same,” he added to laughter and applause from the crowd.

Obama reminded the crowd that his 2008 election also had “bumps in the road.”

“Back in 2008 — everybody always remembers the victory, but they don’t always remember the bumps in the road,” he said. “Things always look good in retrospect. But in the middle of it, we were — we made all kinds of mistakes. We goofed up. I goofed up. But the American people carried us forward.”

Actor George Clooney also attended the event, delivering a speech on behalf of the President and a video was aired featuring Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Ashley Judd and Beyonce.

Later in the evening, Obama attended a fundraising dinner with Clooney at WP24 by Wolfgang Puck for 150 guests at a cost of $25,000 per person.

“I am a fairly competitive guy,” Obama said during the event. “Clooney has played basketball with me. And I don’t like to lose — especially not to actors.”

“We were on the same team,” Clooney reminded Obama.

“We were on the same team,” Obama replied. “I put him on the team — and we did win.”

Obama has already signed into law higher taxes effective January 1st along with plans bigger government spending. Obama and the Dems created the fiscal cliff. They aren't re-negotiating anything if Obama is re-elected. Obama is turning America into Greece and Spain.
