When the cheerleaders are gone there goes the business.
Bob Evans restaurants is no longer Bob Evans. It used to be the place to go and have a good country breakfast NO MORE.
Take a good look at Wendy's business since Dave Thomas is no longer around. Now stop and look at KFC since the good Colonel has gone.
Just a word from the wise.

    • Bob walked away from BOBE long, long before he passed away. This post might have made sense sometime in the 1980's, but makes no sense today.

Dave Thomas was in commercials and helped with promotional situations. Sanders sold out in 64', and sued in 71'. But still was the spokeman.

While I don't disagree with what you said, I am just saying it happened a long time ago. And it was not just because Bob left, it was WHY he left.

      • Bob Evans was pushed out of the company like you said long ago but still was a mouth piece for Bob Evans restaurant chain, every where he went everybody knew him. Bob had two sons that was pushed out of the business earlier also Bob said.
If you were in a Bob Evans restaurant when he came in you would know it, you would see everyone in the place wanting to talk to him and shake hands with him. He was definitely a good true cheerleader until the end.
The same went for the Colonel of KFC and Dave Thomas at Wendy's.
