So it has become common knowledge that Japan has increased its lng import since its decision to shy away from nuclear power. Still think there is lots of room to grow more lng import into Japan even if they revive some nuclear power. I dont know about the ocean conditions around Japan but given that real estate is at a premium it might make sense for Japan to consider floating lng storage and regasification facilities. Probably can engineer lng/lng regasification to survive a tsunami and even if it were destroyed by a tsunami there would not be the long term environmental ramifications of nuclear power. the age of the floating lng and floating regasification ship/plant might be here now. Might even make sense in some locations around coastal China harbors where real estate is premium. Perhaps even for Hong Kong?
