      • Sean, did you not read my post. I did 85 calls at $0.10 with you. I answered Caff's question how I arrive at down 5-10% and 15% margin. I am not hiding from anyone, but you are being a little nasty.
Caff, do you remember the real estate market in 2007. Even great for much of 2008. Not a lot saw the problems ahead. It is not true that 2012 is the worst year ever for semis. Not even among the top-5. Read a bio about the history of Intel. There were years where they cut 10% of staff. Multiple years. 2011 was worse in DRAM than 2012. And I think 2001 was pretty awful for semis as was 2008. You are not right.
LCDs were not strong in the 1st half of 2012 are now extremely strong. Too strong. Yes, short Novatek too. But there will be excess inventory. There are more samsungs, RIMMs, iPhones, Nooks, Kindles, etc., than will be bought. There will be an inventory overhang. A good investor tries to look 6 months ahead and take a non-consensus view if it is logical. History is on my side. Semiconductors are cyclical and there are overbuilds very often. Because current analyst estimates say numbers will be up - that means I'm wrong? Where is your analysis? Where is your thinking through where possible surprises could come from.

        Sentiment: Strong Sell

      • Sean, did you not read my post. I crossed 85 calls at $0.10 with you. I answered Caff's question how I arrive at down 5-10% and 15% margin. I am not ducking anyone, but you are being a little nasty.

      • Sean, did you not read my post. I crossed 85 calls at $0.10 with you. I answered Caff's question how I arrive at down 5-10% and 15% GM. I gave more of a basis than anyone here. Give me a moment to respond to his follow-up questions. I am not ducking anyone.

Caff, do you remember the real estate market in 2007 - on fire! Even great for much of 2008. Not a lot saw the problems ahead. It is not true that 2012 is the worst year ever for semis. Not even among the top-5. Read a bio about the history of Intel. There were years where they cut 10% of staff. Multiple years. I think 2011 was worse in DRAM than 2012. And I think 2001 was pretty awful for semis as was 2008. Don't mislead, please.

So, LCDs which were not strong in the 1st half of 2012 are now extremely strong. Too strong. Yes, short Novatek too. But there will be excess inventory. There are more samsungs, RIMMs, apples, Nooks, Kindles, etc., than will be bought. There will be an inventory overhang. A good investor tries to look 6 months ahead and take a non-consensus view if it is logical. History is on my side. Semiconductors are cyclical and there are overbuilds very often. Regarding Novatek, did you attend their analyst day? Did you hear them speak of the importance of ongoing cost reductions. That is why they are merging - to take out costs. But also, they want more suppliers so no one has leverage on them. You go to China to see SK but you do not go to Taiwan to speak to their cousins or 2nd cousins. Hsin-Chu Science Park Karaoke!!!! You must read between the lines.

And did you attend the Powertech analyst day? Do you not know what they say? They say many things. Some intelligent, some boring. They need more customers, do you not know that. NOR flash could be exciting, wink, wink. Hmmmm.

And tell me, does DRAM make a glorious comeback next year? Is there bit growth in commodity DRAM? Tell me that you have performed an analysis and have inside (or outside).

Have you not read that every DRAM company is doing more mobile DRAM? Am I making up a lie. That is in so many articles. Call up Paine Webber or his friend Morgan Stanley. It will be a crowded field and not so good a business as you thinking. Business will get bad, pricing in toilet and then flushed down.

So your "analysis" is based on taking current analyst projections. A static view. No analyiss. No forward thinking. Just get spoon fed by the horses mouth, SK.

I have to do so much work on this board to educate. I am like Jezus take away leprosy. I lead horse to water, and make him drink and then teach fish to swim. Soon you'll ask me to bake bread. I will bake bread, but only give you the smallest piece.

a few questions: could I be right about LCD? do you know novatek's outsourcing strategy? isn't it true many DRAM players pursuing mobile, and isn't it reasonable that there will be increased pricing pressure in that segment?

You call me many names, but I am a reasonable man (woman).

        Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • Not sure I follow?

Don't pick a fight with someone bigger than you, I will crush you - although I prefer if we can all get along.

Shares are barely hanging in and there are many big blocks up above that need to be sold by the close today. Probably DLS, Acadian or Chilton. Or Caff.

      Where is the buyback?

Oh that's right, management is laughing at you and does not care.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell
