In September 2008 I owned BFR as it lost 50% of its value. While no dividend was paid that year I got a surprise stock dividend (13.5 additional shares per 100) on October 1, 2009. I bought some more and stunningly juicy dividends were paid in the next two years. This year despite the bank doing well they have apparently been ordered by the government to pay no cash dividends. Thus, to answer your question history suggests that they may well pay a stock dividend this fall. I finally liquidated my position in May at $5.80 when I heard about the government ban on cash dividends at the PZE message board. But I nibbled again at $3.12 last week. Patience is required to do well in this underpriced stock. By the way PZE just announced that they would pay about a $.44 cent dividend this year.
