Now that the "wold is not ending", and with the conference call anecdotals suggesting strong interest in this sector by heretofore sidelined monies, BUY and HOLD would seem to be the best strategy.
We will squeeze our way back to fair value, with the new hands being those of strong institutions not so easily manipulated by the autobots, soon to join the fray.
If you were short on valuation, you need to question that strategy.
If you were short on housing fundamentals, you clearly over played that hand.
I would bet that as we rise we attract weak handed dumb money new shorts that will simply fuel the rise to fair value.
NEVER SHORT A COMPANY VALUED FOR LESS THAN ITS CASH ON HAND...
(Unless you know they will be robbed in the morning..)
Cover early and often. No shame.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I agree "EVER SHORT A COMPANY VALUED FOR LESS THAN ITS CASH ON HAND".
MTG has $5.3 billion cash on hand.
