During the timeframe between Aug and November, FSLR formed a classic Cup and handle formation. Unfortunately, after these events you can get what they call throw-back. I didn't expect the throw-back to be this severe but it is, what it is.
What I am questioning now is a not so classic, bigger Cup and handle forming in the Jun - Nov period. IMO, this could be a more significant breakout, if the handle holds.
Gar4one. I think what you meant to say was Second handle formation. Unfortunatly, these do not exist as far as I know of. Your cup and handle trade was on earnings but I do not like technical trades that involve an earnings report. I highly doubt any chartist is looking at this chart thinking about a seond handle. If chartists are looking at this trade at the moment, it is all about a decending wedge and those two pesky gaps below you. Not what you wanted to hear, I know. I do like the solar stocks and they are my drug of choice but this is a very bearish trade near term. So what I mean to say, most technical traders are likley shorting solars at the moment or like me, sitting and watching from the sideline. JMHO
