I thought they sold some ships 3 to 4 months ago or contracted them out and the proceeds were going to come out in a dividend or something later in the year, the volume means something is up, somebody knows something but its not me. I got a feeling it might be something good for those who own the stock
I have no idea what's driving it up. Because this increase seems to be a gift, I just sold a $30.00 call yesterday for $1.50 a share. If I lose it at $30.00 I still make a profit but I don't expect it to stay above $30 on the expiration date. The call gives me an additional 5.8% earnings on top of the great dividend.
selling calls this far before a dividend is a lousy idea. If the stock stays higher than $30, you'll have your shares assigned before the dividend and then you'll miss out on the entire dividend and be forced to pay taxes on your gain.
