NCT and MTGE announced offerings. A lot of companies are doing offfering after these run-ups and it is tempting to take advantage of the price declines to add more. I would think ALDW would do one after they get by the ex-div date. I would not add to anything that is trading over an RSI 70 and that is a BDC, MREIT or MLP that typically does numerous offerings.
Board members...I am getting 'burned out' on all of these new stock offerings, because REITs payout 90% of there earnings to the share holders, about the only way to grow their business to to have another stock offering...
SPO's are good, if an investor is wanting to buy into a stock or wanting to add more shares, otherwise it is a step back in share price...! $tagg...!
It is sometimes disappointing to see a secondary knock the share price down but be reminded of the bright side. It's nice to know that there are big fish out there are willing to plunk down a nice chunk of change to buy shares in something I own, and typically at a price higher than my cost basis. Even when my cash balance is not high I still try to buy at least a hundred shares, whether I need it or not, just so I can feel I'm getting a piece of the action.
Today I sold a small US Bank (USB) position and half of a larger Wells Fargo (WFC) position. Add the proceeds from selling half my ALDW on Friday and taking a small initial position in TWO, I now have some money burning a hole in my pocket. A new secondary might be just the thing.
