    • Earnings will be announced Thursday which could move CPB up a bit...I think there is a lot of uncertainty with regards to
what the spinoff will do...some trying to move out 'cause they don't want Vlassic Int. shares from the spinoff...some trying to
get in on weakness. This is a good company with or without the companies that are being twilrled...Volume is high for these
reasons, I believe...the Motley Fool has been talkin' a whole lot about CPB, and that may also have investors trading...who knows ?
If you're in, I'd stay in. If you want in, now, in my opinion is not a bad time to buy either. I believe earnings will be in
line or slightly ++. Who's to say Vlassic won't do okay ? Low margins may get better once the spinoff is complete. Hope that

spin-offs are one of the best things that can happen to the stock.
you get free ...yes i said free shrs. Of the spin off co.
added to the shrs. You already own in cpb.
you have to be an idiot..or foolish not to want free shrs. Of a co.
try reading (also free from the library) joel greenblats
how to make money in the stock market..even if your not that smart.
it has a section on spin-offs that will explain it for you.

for instance when pepsi spun off toco bell etc.
you got free shrs. Of yum at something like 27/shr. (for free)
one shr. For every 10 shrs of pep you owned (free money)
if anyone can tell me what is bad about that let me know.
finally, the spin -off historically out performs the parent co. By 20% the first three years after.
        any q's
