Is Berkshire worth $90,$100,or$120 per share,That is the only question.BV is $71.33/share,so buy back price and absolute floor is $79 per share.First qtr earnings doubled and bv increased 7.5%.This is truely a special situation that rarely happens,A huge upside with no downside. Monday should be very interesting.
Your price range seems a bit on the high side to me. A price of about $86 per share, which is based on WEB's buy back price of 110% of book value per share and his hint that his buy back price is the equivalent of buying a dollar bill for ninety cents ( i.e., that his buy back price is a discount to what BRK is really worth), does make sense. I calculate that book value per equivalent "B" share was $71.06 as of 3/31/2012.
You further make my point. There is no risk in owning this stock at $80/share only an upside that is looking very good at this point.BV up 7% in 3 months and profits doubled in the 1st qtr.PLus housing ,a big part of Berkshires operating profit numbers remains in a depression.Only an upside in owning Berksire now.
