Is this a part of PETM? Anyone know?

    • I wonder how much the change for Advantage and Advantix availability cut into PETS earnings.

Now pet owners do not need a perscription to get these, or have to get them from their vet, very popular flea and tick preventative treatments. They are are available "Over the Counter" at pet supply stores across the USA.

These products are the ones advertised on TV as less expensive than at the vet. I suspect these are were very high volume and highly profitable for Pet Med Express.

      • ps also, getting coupons from the vet for discount on these products. I don't believe PETM is affected by much, they are to diversified in products and services. p

      • Wish they would do same w/Heart worm, a real racket! It used to be you gave heart worm 9 mo then test, then they said give all year round with no more test, now year round plus test. Yet they say if your pet were to be taking it regularly it could be fatal. Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!. if I give every month and it would kill her if she had it, why would I be getting a test to see if she had heart worm. True, spend more on pet than myself for drugs and vet visits. p

    • No, PETS isn't a part of PETM (PetSmart). PETS (PetMed Express) is a separate and smaller company that does business as 1-800-PetMeds.

PetSmart does own a 21% interest in the private company Medical Management International, a provider of veterinary services & operators of the Banfield clinics in some PetSmart stores.

But PetSmart doesn't own any part of PetMed Express.
