Because they are able to roll out the material in a sheet to manufacture it, they eliminate a process that plagues their competition. Eliminating manufacturing steps by it's very definition means more efficiency and a more reliable product.
We continually hear about the additive versus subtractive process. What that means is that manufacturing is cumbersome for current ITO's because it requires additional steps to the produce. This produces a lot of waste because the sensor(s) requires having to be gone over twice during manufacturing to remove excess material from the first run which makes it a subtractive process. Whereby in an additive process, everything from soup to nuts is achieved in the first run, saving both time and money.
I also believe that smart phone manufacturers are going to continually get squeezed for margins, and I can't think of a better gift than a free $25.00 per smart phone that Companies save by converting to UNIBOSS.
