Uni-Pixel, Inc. Message Board

  • rogerabc100 rogerabc100 Jun 3, 2013 11:14 AM Flag

    Cowen today maintained an Outperform rating on Uni-Pixel (NASDAQ: UNXL) with a price target of $46.00. In the view of analyst Robert Stone, Uni-Pixel's recent declined relates to concerns about UniBoss sensors. Specifically, do they work and can they be produced in volume?

    "Among the coterie of anonymous 'experts' claiming UniBoss doesn't work was one who cited problems with the 'underlying chemical properties of copper.' That's right, he's saying the same material used to make virtually every printed circuit board somehow can't pass a damp heat test."

    Stone believe Uni-Pixel has tested UniBoss at 85 C and 85% humidity.

    "Finished products are not expected in stores until Q4, and short sellers may continue to take advantage of this period of uncertainty . . . We raise again this simple logic test: if it is so easy to spot the supposed flaws in UniBoss technology that this can be accomplished by secretly taking "close up photographs of the product when the management team wasn't looking," why didn't the capacity partners and Kodak (who surely have had extensive opportunity to see the equipment, tour the facilities, and do their own tests), notice these 'product quality' problems?"

    • It's comical who and what the investing public will believe. In one corner we have a known short bashing the product and trying to make personal attacks on management with lies and baseless claims in repeated articles that are clearly trying to drive pps down. In the other corner we have the company UNXL, dealing with experienced electrical engineers and purchasing agents at Kodak, Dell, Intel, etc., and presenting the product at numerous conferences. The companies like Kodak thoroughly test all products before signing up and paying to take any production.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • "In one corner we have yada yada In the other corner bla bla bla"

        Regardless of which story you believe;

        In real life we have a stock in a severe downtrend on the way to a 10 million+ trading day, shareholders waiting for good news that is slow in coming and Long shareholders struggling to keep the pps above 15 running out of ammunition and tiring rapidly. Capitulation, with buyers standing aside, is right around the corner. There are no meaningful resistance areas.

        If you were responsible for your company's investments and your job is on the line would you commit serious amounts of capital to this stock?

    • Have to love these analysts. Gradiated at the bottom of their HS class, 2 years in a Community College and they are touting stocks because they they couldn't make any money touting horses at the track

      Sentiment: Strong Sell
