Requisition Number 17156BR
Position Title Flexo Press Operator
Position Description Flexo printing press experience, including plate making is required and is a mandatory prerequisite.Experience with Mark Andy P-series equipment is strongly preferred. These will be the first operations positions filled for the new Flexo Printed & Plated Films (FPPF) factory being constructed in Eastman Business Park (B326). The FPPF factory is a Kodak facility that will produce touch screen sensors in collaboration with our business partner, UniPixel Inc.
The successful candidates for these positions will initially focus on learning the mastering and printing elements of the manufacturing process with the objective of becoming content experts for these process steps. In addition, these operators will be expected to learn other job functions such as material handling, chemical sampling, and other machine operations as the factory becomes fully functional.
The successful candidates will play valuable roles in helping to establish the operating model for the factory. This will include such things as development of standard work, visual controls, and training materials.
It is possible that the successful candidates for these positions will be considered for lead operator or team leader positions as the organization’s operating structure takes shape.
To the best of my abilities, I've been trying to keep tabs on the manufacturing ramp-up in Rochester. All that matters at this point is the execution of engineering, testing, and manufacturing. The market for this product will be huge in 2014 - there is no doubt that the demand is there - and the customers are waiting. As long as they are making steady and timely progress - I'm happy.
Tired of all the relentless FUD and outright lies over the past few months. From time to time you have to counter that with actual facts. Shorts put together a ruthless campaign to try to drive this company out of business (and I think they would have succeeded if Reed didn't pull off the secondary at $32). But now they are waging a losing battle.
I bought in at around $28 around April - knowing that this was a 2-3 year story. I'm still down - but won't be for long. At the end of 2014, the PPS will be many times the current price.
so, I GUESS TESTING IS COMPLETE NOW THAT THEY'RE STAFFING
job posted on oct 15, reasonable to think they got the waiver sometime around this time frame
great news, thanks
Sentiment: Strong Buy
