Why did it take TSRA management until monday to announce a court ruling that came out last Friday morning?

    This management is pathetic !!!

    The company is broken

    • Announcements about procedural lawsuits aren't one of my preferred measures of management effectiveness. Response to unexpected market developments, on the other hand, is one. DFD (or generally, xFD) packaging is a response to unexpected delays in post-DDR3 memory standardization.

Much more to the point, we outsiders have no view of the state of the struggle for the >15 connects per square mm (that's roughly where BGA tops out) market. That's the business future.

The Tessera news release mentions a point I had noticed but missed the significance of earlier: it was the plaintiff who chose the particular "young" patent to seek a declaratory judgement about. Tessera, of course, would like to be making that choice. So from Tessera's viewpoint this lawsuit has the wrong subject matter, the wrong venue and the wrong counter-party (and they'd rather be putting legal resources behind a matter where they had a chance to collect money from a victory). I expect them to contest the reinstatement all they can.
