    Is DDR4 RAM here?

Saw an industry rag call Micron's DDR4 module one of next year's hot products. They're late to market, but if their product is as good as suggested, it could finally unify this non-standard. That, in turn, marks a fork in the road for Tessera. As long as DDR4 products were expensive and incompatible, xFD looked good for the near term. On the other hand, it's hard to see how high capacity DDR4 parts can completely avoid Tessera's IP. On the third hand (we got it when Harry Truman finally found his one-handed economist), the reverse engineering needed to prove infringement of a lot of Tessera's IP is terribly burdensome.

I'm not predicting and management isn't saying, but the maneuvering over the next year could be very important to us.
