Egypt and the old "Union of South Africa" will progress. You can can even throw Tunisia in there.
However, so many of the poor souls in African nation after nation are subsisting under hellish conditions. Most are illiterate, living in the "dark ages", victims of high disease rates and very short life spans with leaders who often are completely apathetic and only wish to line their pockets.
I would not expect a sizeable emerging market to emerge in Africa in even the next twenty (20) years.
My nephew was in several countries in 2006 and 2007. From what he relayed to me, it is virtually the same dismal continent that it was in 1963, when I was there.
