Those who drip dividends, please post to this thread: The name of the broker where your shares are held. The price you paid per share for this drip, to 4 decimal places. The date the drip shares are posted to your account.
If enough brokers are reported on, I suspect the results will be very interesting.
For the brokers who participate in HCN's discount drip plan (Fidelity does), I calculate the reinvestment price will be 54.2851 per share (98% of the average of the closing price for the 10 trading days immediately preceding the dividend pay date (5/21). Average = 55.393 x 98% = 54.2851.
I will post the drip at Fidelity when the shares are posted to my account.
Let's hear about other brokers, especially Etrade and Vanguard which do not participate in ETP's 5% discount drip and Schwab, where it appears you get the discount only if you call to complain about not getting it.
