Actually since MGM Mirage took over the whole chain, their influence can be seen in most of their properties--and that ain't such a good thing either. For instance, NYNY used to be a fun place with NY memorabilia throughout. It's slowly becoming a generic casino, with a lot of the NY touches revamped. Treasure Island is a joke. While the remodeled rooms are nice--and overdue--there's nothing in the place evoking the pirate theme that it had when it opened. They had to try to make the place hot and hip. The old pirate show was great! The new one in its place sux. The Monte Carlo is big and the rooms were also remodeled, but the casino is a slaughterhouse. I played video poker on different machines, at different denominations on separate nights. I think you need an act of Congress to get 4 of a kind. When you look outside and see the City Center construction next door, it's no wonder why some people may feel that the computer chips in the slot machines may have been altered.
