This was to be one of my retirement holdings to give me some income. Now we get .12/sh. I have been in since 1982 and they do this to the shareholder. why do you think it is a great move??? They actually sold off the retail equitable gas. What are we getting????
I am not saying I am happy about it...mine also has been a Long time holding. What I have noticed is it seems a bit more volatile now, and can make bigger gains in a day...also seems to be pushing the 52 week high now. Basically the model has changed...in spite of the reduced divvy, the rate of appreciation seems to be far better. Perhaps that could be the trade-off for us investors. Good luck.
the character of eqt is going to change dramatically as a result of their divesting the distribution business. they'll become like eog, paying a low dividend so as to re-invest in e&p activities. Look for much more volatility and, hopefully, growth. I think it's a great move.
