    Suggestions vs. Critize.

I notice in some people's eyes, under democracy system, citizens can critize their authorities. I am not really getting used to this. Please help me out but if a son always critize his parents' actions and thoughts, what kind of the world it would be.

I really prefer them to give suggestions rather than critizism. I think our authorities know what is right and wrong just like us. A suggestion would do the job and that would also give our children better examples to follow.

    • elected officials aren't "parents". they don't have the kind of superiority of information or capability that a parent does (relative to a child), and they SURE AS HELL aren't as emotionally invested in seeing us do well.

criticisms are, if anything, too tame. there should be regular beatings and the occasional execution. they are highly paid public employees who frequently do serious harm to the public good- often deliberately.

one in ten thousand deserves respect, and none, ever, anywhere, deserves deference.

    • Giving them suggestions? Expecting them to listen?

If they wanted the public's opinion, they'd put things to referendum more often.
