Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has some employees up in arms after she put the kibosh on working remotely from home and is now calling all Yahoo staff to report to the office.
The move will only impact a small percentage of the company's workforce, primarily customer service representatives or staffers who work in city's where Yahoo does not have an office.
But the internal announcement on Friday has ruffled feathers as many employees say the flexible work arrangement is a key part of their job and will have a significant impact on their personal lives.
(the libs cry wah!!!! )
Fishnman's opinion ....Looking at the Dailymail picture of Yahoo staff meeting, they look like a bunch of clueless college kid brats except for Ms. Mayer who is just clueless. Picture at bottom of dailymail article shows the big Yahoo headquarters building. So is that where you spent the money which should have been paid as dividends?! Your product is an internet website and really you don't produce anything. Yahoo overhead comes at an astronomical cost. I would expect your building be 5% of that size at most.
great move by Mayer. The entire psychy in tech is about team building and the more these people interact with eachtother, the better .... it also gives the "team" a better valuation on who are keepers and who are irrelevant.
