This executive needs to understand three simple things.
1. Yahoo is a failing company and a change in telecommunicating will not resolve that, it's performance related.
2. This is the 21st Century, a significant number of high level professionals get MORE done from home than the office. People eat in offices not in the cafe and hallway converations are more about personal than business.
3. What you are trying to really do it get people to quit so that your unemployment rate doesn't go up.
The public will watch the companies performance in the next two quarters to see the "dramatic" effect this will have on revenue....NOT. This is a desperate company with a desperate leader. Good luck you'll be needing it.
Instead of kicking MM around suppose everyone step back and view the situation from her perspective; just perhaps drawing all employees back under one roof is a condition one of YAHOO's suitors is making. Too, perhaps the subject of having everyone show up for work is really worn out. Let's talk about something constructive for a change.
Oh right, somehow getting all these overpaid slugs under one roof is going to solve all of their problems. It'll solve something alright, that's more expenses to the shareholders that don't have a clue about what's really going on.
