A 100 ml sample of water was pressed through the device and SDU of the invention having a black non-fluorescent nitrocellulose filter. Two ml of freshly made 4-Methylumbelliferyl-Beta-Dglucuronide (0.1 mg/ml) fluorogenic substrate in distilled water was pressed through the SDU. All micro-channels were filled with the solution of fluorogenic substrate. The device was incubated for 20 minutes at 40 degrees C. Micro-channels containing live E. coli appeared as blue fluorescent dots. Micro-channels without cells or live cells of other species appeared as black dots. With the TMC moving foward with MRSA and other bacteria it has become obvious that the DR's love it and that it will probably better suit their needs then what is being used now.
"You really have to prove to the EPA that your stuff meets their parameters " They are proving it(or seeing)for themselves if the NNLX products can meet their guide lines that is why they entered into the CRADA. I would think what they saw up front was impressive enough to work together with NNLX to come up with a faster or better solution.
Warfield I do. there is a lot of information on these patent aplications and I go back and reread them. When some one bring up compitition I try to compare it with what NNLX can do and well as you can see from above.... well you know. We go in early on this stock and there was and is still work to be done in the third party validation and FDA approval but it is coming.
