Per Commishfree1: "IMO, this "new" non-culturing protocol comes out of necessity if one wants to create a test for determining unknown GBS status at onset of labor. 6 hrs. isn't fast enough. "
Per the experts, ie doctors at Texas Medical Center, seems they can NOT use PCR for this either since they report: "Rapid diagnostic tests for GBS have relied on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology, and are cumbersome, expensive, and often require specialized training. A rapid test that is inexpensive and easy to perform would allow for intrapartum screening for GBS."
Seems Commish's vaulted PCR does NOT do what they want, therefore TMC is working to IMPROVE medical technology!
Commish: are you against progress and medical improvements? IF other technology did what TMC - the industry wants, then the opportunity would not exist. It does, so hopefully NNLX can fill this need.
