Everyone knows the problem. Medical billing is insane. It is a mind numbing sequence of idiotic manual hopeless process that have been faithfully modeled by computer programmers. it is the only commercial sector in human existence where the people doing the billing expect never to be paid.
The solution, to the extent that there is a solution that does not involve putting CEO's of insurance companies in jail, or getting rid of them altogether (what the hell value do they add?), does lie in technology. And because of that it does lie in preventing the people who now do it from doing it (the people in the back offfices of medical practices).
But when it comes to technology the solution is not simply taking the same stupid programs that run in the back offices of medical practices and sticking them on the Internet. And it does not lie in having those remote same programs run by the same people who run the systems in the back offices of the medical practices.
You cannot just change the location of the servers.
