I read Radha Basu as being more interested in doing a head trip on Mount Everest and coping with stress than doing a hands on management of Support Soft. No use asking empolyees about company management. All they worry about is wages and benifits. That's why they are employees not management.

That generalization is not true for most SPRT employees. There is a very strong customer commitment at worker level. Its easily proved, just ask customers who have seen guys and girls work above and beyond, all too frequently. Its plain wrong to suggest employees don't worry about more than themselves.
As to mountain climbing: whenever something goes wrong, its just natural to fire the sherpas, right? Climb the wrong mountain, fire 10% of the sherpas. Don't worry if you slip on the ice, the sherpas will catch you, THEN you can fire them. Sadly, there have been real parallels within SPRT of this kind of management mentality.
