Old news. Old tech. Boy, that's some clueless smarmy shoe polish.
Yahoo has a community ID system going in that will allow XML tagged content in a social network of email addresses collected under these IDs which will allow building search engines that will be able to collect data from related emails across an unstructured mass.
Look at it as all the email content in Yahoo equal to a queried SQL database... only the database isn't in a box, but "out there".
And the ID system allows the categorization of people by their professional, social and cultural associations.
The way Google indexes websites and content, Yahoo is instituting a way of indexing email content and websites and keep it all private.
Ahhh... the Semantic Web. So "news". So "tech". But... "old"?
