most PC runs on Windows, with the new Windows 8 that allows bridging of touchpads to PC/laptops, msft can now not alone control the PC market but will also control mobile market. Evidence is Surface and surface Pro bridging into the mobile devices, they will soon acquire a telephone company (Nokia is most likely) enabling to provide mobile internet access to these socalled hybrid computers/mobile devices. MSFT has already bridged access to music download and movies download. Hence, in the future msft everything will and can be accessed from a single device, the surface.
Bank on it, it will happen. You will be able to do work on your laptop, access internet everywhere on the planet, access music/movies content with a single single mobile device.
In fact, there will no longer be a need for landline. Your laptop will be your designated landline, that same line can bounce off signal to your mobile phones. Hence your landline (laptop) is connected to your mobile phone.
And you can do everything else from your Surface Laptop-- work, print, play, stream movies and music, tv.
which part of my statement is false? The only thing that msft doesn't have, in order to complete this perfection to control everything, is Wifi mobile provider.
Once they have it, users with a single device like Surface can use it for work, browse the net, touchpad for toy, print work, even make phone calls from it, stream music and movies. A perfect single system!!!!
