Paul Thurott - A trusted source at Microsoft stated Surface Pro “inventory constraints” were indeed quite real

"A trusted source at Microsoft told me earlier in the week that the Surface Pro “inventory constraints” that marred the opening launch weekend were indeed quite real "

"Another Saturday, another round of Surface with Windows 8 Pro sales. But this time, things are a little bit different. Yes, the 128 GB version is still scarce. But Microsoft’s online store is now taking waiting list orders, with shipment expected by March 1..

    • It's a real debacle alright for the M$FT haters LOL! the Pro is selling like gangbusters.

    • Nobody said it wasn't real. It's a real debacle.

    • For some definition of the word real ...

According to a source who doesn't wish to be exposed there is an ongoing and serious worldwide shortage of vapor including magnesium vapor. That and Intel's inability to produce i5 CPUs in sufficient quantity, somewhat like the shortage of Qualcomm CPUs, since resolved.

However since it won't work for marketing purposes this same source doesn't want to be quoted as saying that only the 'real" constraints should be mentioned. The information on the ongoing artificial restraints should continue to be kept in the shadows and either ignored or decried if mentioned.

Film on the surface of your coffee but not at 11.
