    Fashionista Marketing Ploy

It's hard to take Windows 8 seriously when it is marketed by the image of 20 year old "office" workers tap dancing around the corporate round table, clicking multi-colored Surface keyboards in and out and swiping tiles back and forth. Did Steve Balmer even look closely at this ad campaign? Did he vet and approve these cheap looking ads? It may be time for Microsoft to start using real nuts and bolts with presenting Windows 8. Where are Weiden + Kennedy??? Windows 8 on a touch device is what needs to be "displayed" and not a group of Fashionistas playing around and around and around and....

    • I don't know how much "thought" Ballmer gave to the ad campaign, but I suspect the bad news is that he gave it a lot of thought...

      • The comparison should be brought home loud and clear that the Surface Pro and all of the upcoming convertible Ultarbooks/Tablets are a cut above the Apple iPad and are for serious users looking to run real versions of Photoshop/Lightroom/AutoCad/Microsoft Office and not just a browser toy and musical playlist organizer. Why not show screen shots of these actual "Programs" and not a bunch of run of the mill "Apps"??? Microsoft needs to wake up and get SERIOUS about Windows 8 and the new Touch enabled machines that are on the way. The iPad is a toy vs. any Windows 8 Touch Computer.
