The funny thing about nuclear reactors is the final cost of building one of these always seems to be way over the initial estimated cost. Finland earlier was the first country to build a 'new design' reactor. Initial estimated cost of that reactor was 3 billion euros, final cost is 9 billion euros. Will this also happen to China? Time will tell. I myself hope it works. Relatively cheap and efficient nuclear reactors that can provide long term clean energy will be beneficial to everyone in the world, not just China.
