6 to 1 odds if you'd like to wager. His defenses' opening statement was like a rookie straight out of law school. And a bad law school at that. The most damning piece of evidence is when he was told to stand down and didn't listen. I'm not ranting about racism, I'm simply saying he did a very, very stupid thing, and now he'll pay the price.
Experts: George Zimmerman Just Caught a Big Break

Did a forensic pathologist just save George Zimmerman’s tail? Christine Pelisek on how one key witness turned the high-profile murder trial on its head.
I'm in for a beer bet. We'll have to pick a meet location after the verdict is in.
The definition of Murder 2 in Florida law is:
"The unlawful killing of a human being, when perpetrated by any act imminently dangerous to another and evincing a depraved mind regardless of human life, although without any premeditated design to effect the death of any particular individual, is murder in the second degree"
(there is another definition but it applies to accomplices, which isn't the situation in which Z was involved).
Admittedly I have NOT been following the trial...it's just too ridiculous to believe. But, from what's been in the news, Z definitely behaved stupidly, however the prosecution does not appear to have come ***close*** to proving the requirement of "... a depraved mind regardless of human life".
The prosecution might have had a better case if they'd gone for murder 1 under the definition of "aggravated stalking". But muder 2? No way. I'll take that bet.
I think Zimmerman has one of the greatest trial lawyers ever. Day one before he finished his first opening statement he has laid the ground work for overturning the conviction on grounds that Zimmerman was inadequately defended.
Knock knock --- who is there? Con – Con who? Conviction!!!!
