    Unions were good.

When the goal of union was to force companies to pay a fair wage and to provide safe working conditions, unions were good. Unions achieved this goal by 1946. By this time gov't was totally involved to force companies to provide safe working conditions and to enforce Minimum Wage. Union was no longer needed. But, union was not about to go away. They found that increasing membership and convincing new members of big benefit increases the big dollar coffers of the unions grew big time.
Unions demanded and got very high wages and benefits at the expense of low paid non union members. JFK finally allowed unions to move into gov't which allowed them with corrupt politicians to bleed cities, counties, states and federal gov't. All at the expense of low paid non union members.
Think what the corrupt politicians you elect and greedy unions have done to the country. We as idiots continue to support both.
